In the middle of the tropical forest of the Talamanca mountains
range, the Naso (Teribe) ethnia, built to share with the
visitors, a small sample of their way of life: an ecotourism
project that includes a lodge, a restaurant and several trails
in the forest. |

In this place, WEKSO, former known as PANAJUNGLA, are located
the administration headquarters of La Amistad International
Park, a binational reserve that goes beyond the Costa Rica-Panama
border.

There, still remain the ruins of what it was the jungle training
center of the today non existing panamanian militars.
While the militarism has been banned in Panamá, the visitors can spend the day or lodge in a construction that it is a replica of the indian huts, have meals, take a tour or enjoy an "everything included package". |

|
As main attractions, it is possible to hike, with a local guide, a
very interesting trail in the Park, through the jungle, and
observe the richness of the flora and fauna of the region, or
visit the naso communities along the Teribe river, where the small
population live under a kingdom form of government, unique for
this part of the world. |
