BOCAS DEL TORO, PANAMA

It is a region of mountainous landscape with a rainy tropical climate almost all year round and little navigable rivers, which makes it difficult to move within it.

The Changuinola Valley, between the Talamanca or Central Mountain Range and the coast, is unique in its geography, crossed by numerous rivers of mountainous origin of great flow, forming numerous wetlands and, on reaching the sea, features sand bars that slow down its flow.

Here is concentrated the majority of the population of the district.
